Become a Star
Are you interested in helping to expand the game of soccer? Reaching out to your community? Helping those in need? You can achieve all three by becoming a Passback Star! The Passback Star Program enables individuals to collect and distribute soccer equipment within their local community.
Since the Program began, hundreds of individuals have partnered with the Foundation and become Passback Stars by collecting equipment and distributing it to children in their community who don't have the means to get equipment on their own. You, too, can change the lives of youth in your area by becoming a Passback Star!

Signing Up
When you sign up to be a Passback Star you will receive the following things to help you with your collection:
- Manual outlining how to set up a successful collection
- Flyer template to help advertise the collection
- Passback logo
- Passback brochures

Incentive Prizes
Collect equipment and win prizes! The total number of pieces you collect will determine what level incentive prize you receive.
Star: 0-250 pieces, Passback Pin or Patch (your choice)
Red Star: 250-500 pieces, Passback Sackpack
White Star: 500-1,000 pieces, Passback T-shirt
Blue Star: 1,000-2,000 pieces, Three month subscription to Soccer America and 2 tickets to any regular season MLS match of your choice
Gold Star: 2,000 pieces+, Three month subscription to Soccer America, 2 tickets to any regular season MLS match of your choice and opportunity to win 2 tickets to MLS Cup
***The Gold Star that collects the most equipment in each MLS city (Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York City, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Toronto, Washington, DC) will also get to perform the opening kick at a TBD MLS game in that city.
NOTE: The MLS games at which Stars will perform the opening kick will take place in JUNE, 2008, so collections must be completed by the end of May to be eligible.
Riedler Award
The Star that collects the most equipment in 2008 will be given the Riedler Award, in honor of Phyllis E. Riedler, who founded the Passback Star Program. In addition to the Gold Star prizes, the Riedler Award winner will receive a U.S. Soccer Foundation polo shirt and a $200 Eurosport Gift Card.
